How to Apply

Mace provides shared accommodation for single homeless people and self-contained accommodation for families. We manage properties that belong to a variety of landlords, some on permanent leases, but most for about five to ten years period. The landlords include Housing Associations, Local Authorities and private landlords.

Mace houses over three hundred tenants presently, mostly single people sharing houses. Our tenants are on low incomes, but otherwise we do not represent any particular group.

Currently, we hold interviews on Thursdays for new applicants. This is strictly by appointment only.

All applicants are required to produce the following:

 Two written character references.

 Two passport sized photographs.

 One photo identity (preferably passport)

 Proof of income, if employed.

Proof of entitlement to housing benefit, if unemployed (Income support & JSA)

 National Insurance card

*Applicants will be required to pay a refundable deposit of £500.00 before signing the tenancy agreement. In addition, tenants are required to pay one month’s rent in advance if employed or one week’s rent if unemployed.
